A glimpse from the past...

Last year in 2002  during the week of April 22nd, all of our Year 8 students visited places of worship in Hong Kong as part of their studies of worship. We visited

The Hindu Temple on Wong Nei Cheung Road,  Happy Valley

The Sikh Gurdwara on the corner of Stubbs Road and Queen's Road East.

The Christian Church, St John's Cathedralon Garden Road in Central

Ohel Leah Synagogue on Robinson Road, Mid Levels.

As always the students were welcomed and had some first hand experienced of being with people as they worshipped. This is a very important part of being part of a Multi Faith Community and as such an integral part of our scheme of work.  The students use their work from the day to produde posters and/or leaflets giving essential details about places of worhsip in Hong Kong.  Our only sadness is that we cannot  fit in all places of worship in one day and we are trying to find a way to manage a visit to the Kowloon Mosque in Tsim Sha Tsui or the old Mosque in Mid Levels.
