Y7 - 9  Information and assignments

For Christians worshipping God is a very important activity and is something that can happen two ways,  in a church altogether or at home privately.

The main focus of worship for Christians throughout the world is a service involving Bread and Wine.  This is to remember the last meal Jesus had with his followers before he died.

Worship for Christians can be very varied and can involve everything from long periods of prayer and silence to lots of singing.  There is usually a time for Bible reading and some teaching about the Bible.

You might like to find out in your nearest Church when they have worship.  This can also be found in the South China Morning Post on a Saturday.

You might like to find out about the following:-

1.         The general pattern of worship in churches on a Sunday

2.           The Eucharist  (sometimes called the Mass or the Holy Communion)

3.         Worship at home  (Christian experience P20 – 21)

You will need to use:-               Skills in Religious Studies Book page 56 - 59
