Prepare one of the following:

·        Controlled conditions : 1 hour

·        Dictionary allowed ; no notes 

Please write on double spaced lines. Put a proper title (as above) + date. Please include a word count at the end. 

What do I have to write ?

You need to write 200-250 words on one of the topics.  Remember that as you are not writing that much, each word must count.

 

 Check:

Word order

Verb endings

use of "sein" , "haben" in past tense

 Gender of nouns, which will affect attached adjectives. Don’t guess – use dictionary !

  • Basic spellings : never guess – use dic !

  • New words looked up in dic – make sure you’ve selected the right one.

      1 English word could have several German options, only 1 of which is right for the context.

  • Opinions – have you included plenty ?

  • Tenses – have you included present, past + future to show you can do them ?

Obviously this must be your own work, but you’re welcome to use sensibly any resources available to you. Look at your yellow/orange vocab/speaking guides – loads on school. Look at Auf Deutsch. Do a search on yahoo ! Germany for articles on German Schulen, Freizeit, Wohnung
