How your work
is marked in German
Effort:
If you have a comment on your work, this is for the effort you have put
into your work. You should be aiming for ausgezeichnets.
When you have three ausgezeichnets (
or three stickers/stamps) then show your teacher and s/he will give you a
credit. Your teacher will also give
you a speaking stamp if you have shown outstanding effort in your oral work.
If you get mangelhaft this
means you have not made enough effort and must do the work again.
Ausgezeichnet
(excellent )
Sehr
gut (very good)
Befriedigend
( average)
Mangelhaft (
unsatisfactory)
Attainment:
Your work may also be given a National Curriculum level (a number). To
find out what your level means, read the notice on attainment in your classroom
and in the front of your textbook.
Note, in German you start at level 0 and work to level 8. By the end of
Key Stage 3 most of you will have reached level 5 in listening speaking, reading
and writing.
If your work does not have a NC level, then it will have a mark, e.g
10/10
