ib design & technology- textile technology

hours: standard level: 150    higher level: 240

overview of the course

Design & Technology at IB is a natural progression for students who have studied a D&T subject at GCSE. The syllabus contains practical and theory based units which are assessed both internally and externally. The course involves the production of 3 minor projects during Yr12 which require the implementation of a design process and the associated theory to support the design activity. During Yr 13 a major project will be completed using a wide range of materials and processes. The major project is internally and externally assessed and will demonstrate design thinking in response to a real design problem.
