Ingredients

Syrup

100ml orange juice

1 tsp lemon juice

20g sugar

 

Fruits

6 strawberries

½ apple

½ banana

½ pear

1 slice of water melon

1 slice of Galia or Rock melon

½ kiwi fruit

½ orange

6 grapes

 

  • small saucepan

  • chopping board

  • vegetable knife

  • peeler

  • large metal bowl

  • measuring jug

  • wooden spoon

  • teaspoon

 

 

 

 

 

 

  1. Make the syrup by dissolving the sugar in the orange juice in a small pan. Boil for 1 minute, then pour into a large metal bowl to cool. Add the lemon juice.

  2. Wash, quarter, core and slice the apple and pear and add to the syrup.

  3. Peel and slice the banana, orange and kiwi fruit.

  4. Wash the grapes and remove the pips. Slice in half and add to syrup.

  5. Wash the strawberries and slice. Slice both melon pieces and add to syrup.

  6. Chill in the refrigerator with a cling film cover.

  7. At end of lesson place in container.
