Casing:

 

1 sheet of puff pastry

 

Filling:

 

80g minced beef

2tbsp cooked potato

1/4 diced onion

1/4 turnip diced

1tbsp Worcester sauce

1 tbsp vegetable oil

Salt & pepper

Glaze:

 

Egg & milk

 

 

Dipping sauce:

HP (Houses of Parliament) sauce

Method of Production    

1. Preheat the oven to 220c. Line a baking tray with paper.

 

2. Prepare the ingredients. Heat oil in a pan. add onion and turnip and cook for 4 minutes. add beef and cook for 10 minutes until meat is browned. Add salt & pepper and Worcester sauce. Remove from the heat and leave to cool.

 

3. Cut out 6 circles from the puff pastry. Place the circle over the pastry press with a dusting of flour, brush the edges with water and position two teaspoons of the filling in the centre of the press. Seal the edges carefully. Brush the egg and milk glaze over the pasties.

 

4. Place on a tray in the oven and bake for 15 minutes.
