Anzac Calculations

 

Ingredients

Equipment Required

MELTED Method (Makes 10)

Dry ingredients

40g oats

24g flaked coconut

100g white sugar
60g all -purpose flour

 

Melted Ingredients

56g margarine
1 tsp syrup
 

Measuring jug

½ tsp baking soda

2tbsp boiling water

 

 

 

  • mixing bowl

  • saucepan

  • measuring spoons

  • spatula

  • teaspoon

  • measuring jug

  • sieve

  • wooden spoon

 

  • 2 baking trays

  • baking paper

 

1. Preheat oven at 180c.
2. Mix oats, flour, sugar and coconut together into a bowl.
3. In a small saucepan over low heat, melt the syrup and butter together.
4. Mix the baking soda and the boiling water in a measuring jug, stir until the soda has dissolved.
5. Add the soda mixture and the melted butter and syrup mixture to the dry ingredients (oats, flour, sugar and coconut)
6. Weigh each biscuit into
30g portions. Using your hands shape 10 circular amounts of this quantity onto a baking tray lined with paper. Space the biscuits out as the mixture expands. (5 on each tray)
7. Bake at 180c for 10-15 minutes until golden brown.

8. Leave to cool and harden.
